Love is the ultimate muse. Our season finale concert opens with the CCO’s first-ever performance of Philip Glass with the haunting third movement from Symphony No. 3. Collaborating on this piece will be MamLuft&Co. Dance who will merge sound and gesture to trace the musical longing for love. Pianist Alon Goldstein, described by The New York Times as “refined yet impetuous, noble yet spirited,” will perform Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 20, which includes “Romance” as the second movement. MamLuft returns to the stage with Alon for an interpretation of the mesmerizing piece by Silvestrov, The Messenger. When writing his Symphony No. 8, Beethoven wrote his famous letter to his “Immortal Beloved.” While her true identity will probably remain unknown, we can only assume that it is love we hear behind this joyful music. “Ever mine. Ever thine. Ever ours.”

Wine will be available for purchase.
