SUMMARY:Berlin\, Germany (Akhnaten)
DESCRIPTION:January 14\, 2027 Mit Echnaton setzte Minimal-Music-Pionier Philip Glass einer der rätselhaftesten Persönlichkeiten der Weltgeschichte ein Denkmal. Philip Glass’s Another Look at Harmony\, Part 4 is a score that has never before been choreographed at this scale. \nConceived in celebration of Glass’s 90th birthday\, Another Look is a structurally rigorous work that reunites two defining figures of American minimalism in a rare and timely artistic convergence. This world premiere is is performed with live music by 18 singers and an organist from the French ensemble Les Métaboles. \nComposed in the 1970s\, Another Look at Harmony\, Part 4 occupies a singular place in Glass’s output\, and is rarely performed in full. Childs has returned to this music over decades\, and this commission marks the first full-length choreographic realization of the score. \nREPERTOIRE \nAnother LookChoreography Lucinda Childs Music Philip Glass Performed live by Les Métaboles Choral Ensemble World Premiere \nCasting and programming subject to change \nPhoto by Jonathas Nazareth
