DESCRIPTION:https://www.opera-lausanne.ch/show/dance/ \nL’iconique Dance de Lucinda Childs Un chef-d’œuvre d’art total du XXe siècle \nDe l’ébullition culturelle des années 60 naît une nouvelle forme de danse\, proche de la performance\,qu’incarne la chorégraphe américaine Lucinda Childs. Œuvre-manifeste du minimalisme américain\, son ballet Dance (1979) est exceptionnel et radical à plus d’un titre. Cette triple partition chorégraphique\,musicale et visuelle est le fruit de sa collaboration avec deux autres immenses artistes du XXe siècle. \nAprès Einstein on the Beach\, Lucinda Childs retrouve le compositeur Philip Glass\, qui imagine une partition fluide sur une rythmique simple qui se module en boucle\, et sur laquelle les danseurs posent une géométrie glissante. Leurs gestes épurés se déclinent dans une ligne qui se transforme imperceptiblement\, alors que la musique poursuit son flux hypnotique. \nQuant au peintre et sculpteur Sol LeWitt\, il réalise le seul film de sa carrière. Sur une toile invisible tendueau-devant de la scène\, il projette une vidéo des danseurs filmés lors d’une répétition. Les spectateursvoient double: flottant sous les cintres ou agrandis démesurément à côté de leur alter ego en chair et enos\, les ombres filmées forment des variations vertigineuses et des ajouts fantomatiques. \nInterprété par dix-sept danseurs du Ballet de l’Opéra de Lyon\, le spectacle entier est construit en un sidérant et chatoyant écho noir et blanc entre l’espace\, la musique\, le mouvement et le temps. Notre regard est invité à circuler activement dans l’œuvre\, pris dans une envoûtante méditation\, qui fait naître une émotion universelle qui n’a pas pris une ride.
