Audiences of Vivo Performing Arts have come to expect from Víkingur Ólafsson not only performances of striking brilliance, but programs shaped with insight and intention. In his upcoming appearance at Symphony Hall, Ólafsson marks Philip Glass’ 90th birthday while drawing from his own Deutsche Grammophon discography, pairing Glass’ etudes with selections from suites by Baroque master Jean-Philippe Rameau and modernist composer Claude Debussy.
