GLASS CHAMBER PLAYERS

The
performers — Maria Bachmann and Tim Fain, violinists; David Harding and
Misha Amory, violists; and Wendy Sutter and Alexis Pia Gerlach,
cellists — were ideal advocates, playing with abundant insight and
energy.

They opened the concert with a ravishing account of
Schoenberg’s “Verklärte Nacht,” and offered a bristling arrangement by
Trevor Gureckis of the Prelude from Bernard Herrmann’s score for “Psycho” as their encore. STEVE SMITH
