SYNOPSIS:
A portrait opera on the life of German mathmatician, astronomer, and astrologer, and a key figure in the 17th century scientific revolution. He is best known for his eponymous laws of planetary motion, codified by later astronomers based on his works Astronomia nova, Harmonices Mundi, and Epitomoe of Copernican Astronomy. These works provided the foundation for Newton’s theory of universal gravitation.

Premiered at the Landestheater Linz, September 20,2009 with the Bruckner Orchester Linz, the Chorus of the Landestheater, conducted by Dennis Russell Davies.
