Kronos Quartet celebrates the work and legacy of Philip Glass on his 90th birthday.

On Philip Glass’s 90th birthday, Kronos Quartet performs an all-Glass program in tribute to one of the defining composers of our time. The evening journeys through his iconic string quartets, his film scores for Mishima and Dracula, and the powerful “Quartet Satz” from 50 for the Future.

Rounding out the program: reimaginings of Glass’s music by Brian Carpenter and Aftab Darvishi, plus works by artists shaped by his influence — Jlin, Foday Musa Suso and Michael Riesman. Kronos’ decades-long collaborative relationship with Glass gives the performance both intimacy and edge. Join us for a tribute celebration that honors Glass’ vision while tracing the creative dialogue it continues to spark across generations.
