The Gardiner House has invited Puddingstone to present the next evening, “Impressionism and beyond”. Visiting from Europe, the highly sought after Fidelio Trio is coming to Newport to present a thrilling program in the beautiful ballroom of the Gardiner House. Come listen to the music of master impressionist, Maurice Ravel, and his exceptional Trio for Violin, Piano, and Violoncello as well as an array of exciting pieces: Darius Brubeck, Philip Glass, Ludwig van Beethoven and a newly commissioned piece composed for the Fidelio Trio by Boston based composer, John McDonald. The composer, John McDonald, will be present to introduce his music and mingle. Furthermore, we have a second showing of award winning painter, Katie Swatland, who will share a collection of original pieces and speak to her painting technique and inspiration. Katie Moorhead, one of Newport’s most beloved dancers, will delight us with her interpretation of the art presented with improvised dance during selected musical pieces throughout the evening. The Gardiner will open their beautiful bar for us for this evening. Small bites will be served and are included in the ticket price. Come and join us for what is going to be an exceptional night at the ballroom of the new Gardiner House!
