Combining pieces of minimalist music (Glass, Cage, Moondog…), played by pianist Shani Diluka, and drawings, made by illustrator Matthias Lehmann, a unique creation translates Kafka’s Metamorphosis on stage with lively originality .

A short novel (or long story) by Franz Kafka, published in 1915, The Metamorphosis is one of the great literary classics of the 20th century. Almost everyone knows the story of Gregor Samsa, an ordinary man who wakes up one fine morning and finds himself transformed in his bed into an enormous, filthy creature… Carrying a meditation on the slow slide towards dehumanization, this inexhaustible fable fantastic is revealed here in the form of a drawn concert. In the wake of her new album, Pulse , pianist Shani Diluka masterfully performs an anthology of minimalist pieces – ranging from Philip Glass to John Cage via Moondog and even Meredith Monk. Illustrator Matthias Lehmann expresses all his graphic creativity in response to music.
