The American Virtuoso presents a recital by American pianist Paul Barnes. Orange Mountain Music releases this new disc of virtuosic piano music by American composers including the world premiere recording of Barnes’ transcription of Philip Glass’ “Piano Concerto No.2.” Also featured on this recording is Samuel Barber’s landmark “Sonata” and the haunting “Ballade” & Nocturne.” Rounding out the disc are two pieces by American composer Joan Tower from her work “No Longer Very Clear.”
