    1. This is a fan letter. I am a dyed in the wool classical addict, especially the Romantic Era, so my favorite is Beethoven. I also love Brahms, Mendelssohn, Schumann, Tchaikovsky & Rachmaninoff … and many others from 1800 to 1920. In my opinion, Philip Glass is the finest composer since Rachmaninoff, on a par with the others I mentioned. My first exposure to Philip Glass’ work was the Low Symphony and I am presently listening to the score from the movie “The Hours” on Pandora. I must go see the movie.
      The Medal is well-deserved!
