  1. Will there be a recording of this made for those of us who couldn’t attend? I’d love to be able to hear it. Right now I’m enjoying the excellent recording of his 9th on this fine Monday morning.

  2. I just listened to the Ninth symphony for the first time and am bowled over by it. Such a strong piece, with so much to say. Powerful, emotional, hypnotic. Great textures and sounds. Market the CD to the max for it deserves to sell in bucket loads. I already have 2,3,4 and 7(Toltec) and thought they were pretty good. But then this. Who does that remind you of? Dvorak, Bruckner, Mahler, Schubert, Beethoven? All of the above. Great that music is being written in our age that ranks alongside. And, like most of those guys, probably not widely enough appreciated or understood until a future age…

  3. I just heard the new symphony in Berlin on sunday and enjoyed it very much. Unlike Glass’ last few symphonies it consisted of five shorter movements, which in my opinion made it quite playful and varied.
And the fifth movement had the most kick-ass ending I think I have ever heard…
It’s always great to experience a live performance of one of Glass’ pieces. Looking forward very much to a recording.
