Under the artistic
direction of Philip Glass, In the Spirit celebrates great spiritual and
cultural traditions stretching from Tibet and China to Africa, the
Middle East, and the West. Featured are the NYC premiere of Glass’s
Songs of Milarepa with Gregory Purnhagen and Nelson Padgett, and
performances by Pomerium, Riyaaz Qawwali, Foday Musa Suso, Omar Faruk
Tekbilek, Wu Man and the Scorchio Quartet. Also featuring a special
performance by Philip Glass with Foday Musa Suso.
