Do you know by chance if there are any plans of releasing a recording of “Overture for 2012”? I’d very love to hear it by unfortunately live on the west coast so I wasn’t able to be at either of these performances.
Shouldn’t “Black and White Scherzo” from last year also count as an overture?
You know, I had the same thought. But I believe that the Scherzo is actually a movement of a future work, not a stand alone piece.
His first Overture in his Minimalist style – let’s not forget the “Convention Overture” from the mid-’60s.
