On January 10 (this Sunday) Philip Glass' Orange Mountain Music presents a musical showcase with OMM CD sampler giveaway. For everyone who comes through the doors, they'll get a free CD of OMM music and will get to hear music presented by Orange Mountain Music.
This includes Trevor Gureckis' suite for mixed quartet called Les Adieux. Gureckis currently works as Philip Glass' musical assistant. A Yale Graduate, Gureckis has an active career as a composer and arranger. Les Adieux was released by OMM on iTunes in 2009.
OMM will release an album of the music of Joel Harrison in 2010. Harrison, a versatile composer and performer will present a mixed set including music by the Fojoto String Band with Harrison, Tony Trischka, and old Philip Glass friend Foday Musa Suso.
Rounding out the set will be music by long-time Philip Glass Ensemble member Mick Rossi. Rossi, an accomplished composer, will be celebrating the release of his new record which is being released by OMM, Songs from the Broken Land.

Sounds like a very cool event and one I wish I could attend if I was in the area.
It also reminds of a question I’ve had for a while. Is there any way at all to find and purchase “Music from Dunvagen” compliation anywhere? I’ve been trying to get my hands on it for the longest time but was unable to find it anywhere. I understand it’s out of print but does someone have it for sale (be it on CD or as a download) anywhere? Thanks.
