A limited edition of 1,000 units of Philip Glass' first concert of his early musis (as released on OMM0093 in CD form) will be released by Orange Mountain Music on September 9th at the same moment where a three-night concert series at the Brooklyn Academy of Music featuring the music of Steve Reich and Philip Glass.
The record is 180-gram vinyl, with a download code, and cover art by artist Don Christensen. On the reverse side of the LP is featured a photo of violinist Dorothy Pixley-Rothchild, who died in 1981, at the Filmmaker's Cinemateque performing Glass' Strung Out for Solo Aplified Violin 46 years ago in 1968.
