  1. I agree. Like when PGE performed Rubric on Saturday Night Live (back in the 80’s). For the broadcast, someone felt it necessary to cut to scenes from Koyaanisqatsi, rather than just show the ensemble performing. Not really the same thing that your talking about. It’s more along the lines that some people think his music cant stand on it’s own without some imagery. I sat through 4 plus hours of Music In 12 Parts with just the ensemble performing, and I was in Heaven.
