Steve Smith of the New York Times focuses on the evolution and cross-pollination in music, the Awl weighs in with what a warm review of 12 Parts, and Michael H. Miller of the Gothamist writes a lovely and thoughtful review which loses all credibility when he says things like "music that is this frenetic, often lacking rhythm." 

Say what you will about Philip Glass' music…it's impossible to say it doesn't have rhythm!
