This weekend Michael Riesman performs Dracula live to film from the piano at the World Minimal Music Festival in both Eindhoven and Amsterdam Holland.

And coming up next week is the world premiere of Philip Glass' new opera The Lost which is opening the new opera house (live webcam of the construction) in the city which has been the center of Glass' musical world over the past decade, Linz Austria.  A lot more to come on this…word on the street is that this opera is something of a departure/throwback being an opera which has all the elements of modern opera, yet involved much more than usual with other elements such as dance. The composer told me that there are points when the disciplines are so interlaced, an audience member cannot be sure who in fact is doing the singing….
