I learned today that there is in fact a pre-concert talk at Disney Hall that’s part of the LA Phil’s Upbeat Live series (podcast).
You can listen live at 7pm Friday and hear Chad Smith, the LA Phil Assoc’s VP of Artistic PlannIng talk with Philip Glass about the Ninth Symphony. The LA Phil is one of the three commissioners of No.9 along with Carnegie Hall and the Bruckner Orchester Linz.
