Philip Glass is heading down to the Univ. of Virginia in Charlottesville for a residency before going to Iowa for a few engagements.
Meanwhile, Hydrogen Jukebox continues in Wisconsin, the Dublin Guitar Quartet evangelizes the Glass string quartets on guitars from Kentucky to Michigan, Robert McDuffie is up to his Second Violin Concerto mischief in Hamburg Germany at the ballet, the Double Concerto gets a run in Colorado, Dennis Russell Davies brings Symphony No.6 "Plutonian Ode", Cello Concerto No.2, and Anniversary Concert Overture to Switzerland and London during a UK tour with his new orchestra the Baselsonfonieorchester, Orphée premieres in Pittsburgh, and the Labeque sisters invade Davies Symphony Hall in San Francisco April 7th (where the SFS has never played Glass' music) with a performance of Four Movements for Two Pianos. On April 9th the sisters take "Four Movements" to the welcoming confines of Walt Disney Concert Hall for the LA Philharmonic's MINIMALIST JUKEBOX.
