Last month, whilst on tour in Italy, Philip Glass Ensemble Music Director Michael Riesman had a bicycle accident and broke his leg which was the reason for his cancellation of his NYC solo piano shows. For those of you who don't know, they will not let the injured fly under those conditions for fear of an embolism and because of the proper time needed to heal.
After almost a month in the hospital full of language practice and recuperation, I am happy to report that Riesman will soon be traveling back stateside.
