For those of you who receive "Philip Glass" google alerts you may have noticed recent activity by someone named Philip Glass who is the head of some whack-job right-wing "organization" called the National Precinct Alliance. Anyway, a couple periodicals should have known better than to report that "the famous composer" was the same person that was getting the Wal-Mart masses all riled up at "Tea Parties" across our land. I can't state strongly enough that the composer Philip Glass has nothing to do with the whack-job Philip Glass.

I think it’s important to differentiate between the “Philip Glasses” of the world, but watch who you call right-wing whack-jobs. Some of “us” are die-hard composer Philip Glass fans. (I don’t understand why wanting our Government to actually abide by the US Constitution is whacked, but whatever.) Name calling in general is de-humanizing and unhelpful. For what it is worth, I didn’t see ANY name calling on that “whack-job’s” web site.

Elaine, Richard wasn’t calling just any conservative a whack-job. And I don’t mean to offend but in the case of that other Philip Glass, after reading up information om him, I have to agree with Richard’s label.
