On Friday, March 30, the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra continues its groundbreaking TweetSeat program, offering twenty audience members the opportunity to engage in live, interactive dialogue during the CSO’s “Life Reflected” performance featuring a world premiere by composer Philip Glass. Seated in the last row of the orchestra section to minimize disturbance to other patrons, these audience members are permitted and encouraged to “live Tweet” their thoughts and reactions to the concert. Guided by CSO Assistant Conductor William White under the CSO’s Twitter account https://twitter.com/#!/CincySymphony, people seated in the TweetSeat sections may ask questions, interact with other concertgoers and receive exclusive notes on the program right on their phones.

Headlining the concert is the highly anticipated world premiere of Philip Glass’ Cello Concerto No. 2, Naqoyqatsi performed by cellist Matt Haimovitz with the CSO. Also on the program, conducted by longtime friend and collaborator of Mr. Glass, Dennis Russell Davies, is Bruckner’s Symphony No. 6.

The CSO has received national attention for its innovative TweetSeat program that offers a behind-the-scenes look of select performance, and was the first local arts organization to offer such an experience.
